The work consists of 19 short pieces that must be arranged, combined and staged by the musicians. A musical theatre work about sound and music, Collection invites the listener to wonder and reflect on phenomena commonly taken for granted, such as the production of sound, its context, the musicians’ personal relationship to their instruments, the expressiveness and emotions associated with sound, certain psychoacoustic peculiarities, the function of interpretation and the research process itself in an open work.
